Hon. Speaker Jabulani Mabuza officially opened a 2-day Sensitization workshop on Disability and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Members of Parliament. In his remarks, the Speaker said phase two of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum; Sexual Reproductive Health Rights HV/ AIDS (SRHR/HIV) Governance which dates from 2023-2026 was successfully executed. He also stated that Parliament affirms to its stakeholders and all strategic partners, that it will rightfully execute its core mandate in appreciation of the People with disabilities models with respect to Human Rights and governance, whilst executing all SRHR /HIV and governance project outcomes. Honourable Speaker also implored the Clerk to Parliament Mr. Benedict Xaba to ensure that people with disabilities should form part of the Parliamentary Service Staff for inclusivity, as also stated in the SADC Project. The workshop was sponsored by UNFPA.
