Women Parliamentary Caucus Cancer Awareness Campaign

The Women Parliamentary Caucus of Eswatini Parliament spearheaded a significant cancer awareness campaign, highlighting the importance of education and support in the fight against cancer. The event which was hosted at the Exams Council’s Auditorium was attended by male and female Parliamentarians, to foster a united front in raising awareness about scourge. The gathering featured insightful guest speakers including the Director of Health Services Dr. Velephi Okello, courageous breast cancer survivor Ms. Yvonne Capel, to name but a few. Ms. Capel shared her personal journey of diagnosis and triumph, stirring attendees to prioritize health and advocate for early detection and comprehensive support systems in their communities. This initiative stands as a testament to the Caucus' commitment to addressing critical health issues while promoting inclusivity and collaboration among Parliamentarians.
