President of the Senate Lindiwe Damini says the Women Parliamentary Caucus has a mammoth task of promoting the inclusion of women in key decision-making roles, supporting capacity-building efforts to empower women legislators, scrutinising government actions to ensure gender equality is prioritized and lobbying for policies that advance women's rights. She was speaking during Parliament’s commemoration of the World AIDS Day and 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence held at the UNESWA-Kwaluseni Campus. Parliamentarians, staff of the Parliamentary Service, strategic partners, Kwaluseni residents and the surrounding areas and students came in their numbers to attend this historic event. In her remarks, the Senate President added that it was crucial to form collaborations with civil society and other stakeholders, to also gather data and shape policies informed by gender analysis. The well attended event kick started with a walk from the Kwaluseni weighbridge to the University of Eswatini- Kwaluseni Campus. The Kwaluseni Inkhundla (Constituency) is under Honourable Sifiso Shongwe.
