The Senate Portfolio Committee of the Ministry of Finance, led by its Chairperson Senator Tony Sibandze, were engaged in a Clause by Clause Session for the Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Financing of Terrorism, and Proliferation Financing (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill No. 09 of 2024. This review is aimed to enhance the nation’s financial integrity while addressing concerns about the behavior of border gate officers, following reports of travelers allegedly being robbed after declaring cash at entry points.
