During the 2026/27 Budget Speech, Minister for Finance Neal Rijkernberg outlined a bold economic plan anchored on growth and job creation, despite a projected fiscal deficit of E5.02 billion, 4.9 percent of GDP. Addressing the House, he emphasized that the country’s greatest challenges were poverty and unemployment. Job creation stood out as the consistent thread throughout the Speech. The message was clear: restore dignity through work and create pathways for emaSwati to provide for their families and rise from poverty.
