Minister for Education and Training Hon. Owen Nxumalo has initiated a comprehensive review of the national curriculum, focusing on enhancing its relevance and effectiveness to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world. The ministry has also established a dedicated committee to address the pressing issue of delayed salary payments for lecturers, a longstanding challenge that has hindered academic performance and faculty morale. He stated this during the Ministry’s appearance before the Senate Portfolio Committee.
