Eswatini National Science Week Launch

The Department of Research, Science, Technology and Innovation (RSTI) in the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology led by Dr. Rejoice Maseko, has launched the Eswatini National Science Week under the theme, "Igniting Curiosity, Inspiring Innovation: Science for a Sustainable Economic Growth.\" The objective of the Science Week is to explore new ideas, encourage creativity, and harness innovation as the country strives for sustainable economic growth. By igniting curiosity, the next generation of scientists, thinkers, and leaders can be inspired to tackle the pressing challenges. This theme not only highlights the importance of scientific inquiry but also emphasizes the critical role that innovation plays in driving the economy forward and improving the quality of life for all Emaswati. The launch was attended by members of the Ministry of ICT Portfolio Committees – (House of Assembly and Senate) who were led by their Chairpersons, HRH Senator Princess Ncengencenge and Honourable Charles Ndlovu. Dr. P. Mjwara who was the main guest Speaker, presented on The Role of a Knowledge Enterprise (Research and Innovation) in a Country’s Development, while Mr. K. Bimpong presented on IAEA Contribution to Global Food and Nutritional Security: Success Stories
