Declaration of Assets by Parliamentarians

Hon. Speaker Jabulani Mabuza has led by example after declaring his assets, in a quest to promote transparency and integrity among the Legislators. This also aligns with the mandate of the Commission on Human Rights and Public Administration/Integrity's initiative, which is to enhance accountability as required by the Kingdom of Eswatini's Constitution, Section 241(1). The Deputy Commissioner Duduzile Dlamini, stated that the assets declaration process will continue until the first week of November, 2024. This undertaking also aims to build public trust, to address conflict of interest and corruption. Section 242 enforces strict penalties for non-compliance, underscoring the initiative's seriousness. Dlamini has implored Parliamentarians to participate, emphasizing that maintaining integrity in public service is a shared responsibility that improves governance in Eswatini.
