Commemoration of the International Albinism Awareness Day

The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office celebrated the International Albinism Awareness Day, under the theme: “A Decade of Collective Progress”. The aim of the event was to urge society to embrace persons with albinism and stop victimizing them with the mindset that they can be used for rituals or as a source of wealth. The event also raised awareness about the resources that people living with albinism need in order to make their lives easier.
